Parking permit for accommodation businesses (hotels and guesthouses) - guest vehicles pursuant to Art. 45(2) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act (StVO 1960) (at the place of business)
Requirements
- The business premises are located in the district for which the parking permit is being sought.
- The application for the parking permit is for cars of guests of the accommodation business.
Documents required
- Application with a detailed statement explaining the need for an exemption permit pursuant to Art. 45(2) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act (StVO 1960)
- Copy of business licence
- Information on how many parking spots the business has available (e.g. parking garage, courtyard, etc.)
- Proof of the number of beds available (e.g. parking garage, courtyard, etc.) business premises permit)
- Proof must be provided to the authorities upon request.
- 5 records per parking permit, e.g. room bills or guest register (German) over a 2-month period
Please note
- The number of exemption permits granted is calculated by first dividing the number of beds by 5 (if business is located in one of the districts outside the Gurtej) or 10 (if business is located in one of the districts inside the Gürtel). Any existing parking spots are then deducted from the result.
- No more than 5 exemption permits pursuant to Art. 45(2) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act (StVO 1960) will be granted per business.
- Using only a daily or weekly flat-rate card without a valid exemption permit pursuant to Art. 45(2) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act (StVO 1960) is not permitted and will not be considered valid.
- Daily and weekly flat-rate cards are available at the cash offices of Municipal Department 6 - Accounting Services, Duties and Charges (MA 6).
- The daily and weekly flat-rate cards are not available at the cash offices at Municipal Department 35 - Immigration and Citizenship (MA 35).
- The parking permit is not valid in short-term parking zones on individual streets (e.g. shopping streets).
