Exemption permit for an essential company vehicle pursuant to Art. 45(2) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act (StVO1960) (at the place of business)
Requirements
- The business premises are located in the district for which the parking permit is being sought.
- The vehicle is registered at the business location.
- The vehicle is used regularly several times a week for business purposes that cannot be performed by using public transport or by reorganising processes without considerable difficulty. This includes visiting customers with documents, transporting small volumes of goods, etc.
- There is no private or company parking spot (e.g. parking garage or courtyard) available in the immediate vicinity of the company premises.
- The 2-hour permitted maximum parking duration in the area-wide short-term parking zone is not sufficient for the company's business activities.
Documents required
- Application with a detailed statement explaining the need for an exemption permit pursuant to Art. 45(2) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act (StVO 1960)
- Proof of permission to perform said business activity (e.g. business licence, permit)
- Copy of the vehicle licence, registered to the company name and business location
- Upon request, the authorities must be provided with proof of regular trips multiple times a week that are of considerable business interest for the company:
- List of trips over 4 weeks including the purpose of said trips. A minimum of 3 trips per week on average must be made. Of these 12 total trips, proof must be furnished for 5 in the form of invoices, order confirmations, work schedules, customer orders, e-mails regarding appointments, invitations to events, or cost estimates.
Please note
An exemption permits pursuant to Art. 45(2) Austrian Federal Road Traffic Act ((StVO1960) under the above criteria can only be granted for 1 essential company vehicle per business.
