City of Vienna - Women's Centre
The City of Vienna - Women’s Centre is the main counselling and information hub for all women in Vienna.
A team of legal experts, social workers and psychologists provides women with information and initial consultation free of charge, confidentially and, on request, also anonymously.
Services
Initial consultation, counselling and information on the following topics:
- Counselling and support services in Vienna
- Legal counselling on family law, in particular on the topics of divorce, separation, parental custody, visitation rights, and alimony payments
- Social counselling on social, financial and work-related matters such as eligibility for welfare benefits, access to social housing, and support in re-entering the workforce
- Psychological counselling to support women who face stressful and challenging situations in life or need to make important decisions
Counselling is available by phone, in person, or by email.
Counselling is available in German and English. Legal counselling on the topic of family law is also available in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian.
The Women’s Centre also hosts workshops and events.

The Women's Centre is wheelchair accessible. Public transport: underground line U3 (Volkstheater), tram lines D, 1, 71 (Volkstheater), tram line 2 (Stadiongasse).
