Description

The City of Cascais’ presentation will explore the role of Social Innovation Clusters as drivers of sustainable development and social cohesion. It will highlight strategies for creating and strengthening these clusters, with a focus on collaborative approaches involving organisations, communities, and both public and private sectors.

The City of Kraków presents their infrastructure and support for participation within the city. The presentation will focus on initiatives related to civic engagement and community development in Krakow, highlighting successful projects that foster collaboration between citizens and local authorities.

Speakers

Tiago Leitão, President of Aproximar – Social Innovation Cooperative, has 22 years professional experience working as a social worker, consultant and developer in the field of criminal justice systems, management consultancy, social entrepreneurship, innovation and reintegration, and knowledge transference. More recently, he has been connecting policy and strategy in the field of prison work and education, social reintegration and economy, education, training, mentoring, and volunteering.

Mateusz Płoskonka, Deputy Director, Department of Dialogue, Consultations and Citizen Contact for the City of Krakow Office, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in public administration. He has been working at the City of Krakow Office since 2002 and currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Department of Dialogue, Consultations and Citizen Contact as well as as the Deputy Director in the Social Policy and Health Department. Mr. Płoskonka is certified as a local government animator for cooperation with the third sector.
