The Sustainable Development Goals are among the most important tasks of the United Nations. They are also a key concern for the City of Vienna and have been implemented in many projects. The City of Vienna has, for example, actively promoted neighbourhood and community gardens since 2010. This type of urban gardening contributes to sustainable production and climate protection, both forming part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
